UrbanFest 360

Repositioning a Film Festival into a Sponsorship-Ready Cultural Platform

UrbanFest 360 is a multidisciplinary cultural festival celebrating film, art, fashion, music, and community. While the festival had a strong mission and growing audience, it lacked a clear sponsorship narrative, making it difficult to articulate its value to potential partners and secure funding at scale.

I partnered with UrbanFest 360 to build its first-ever sponsorship deck, reframing the festival from a traditional film event into a 360° cultural experience designed for meaningful brand alignment, community impact, and long-term partnership growth.

Role: Creative Strategist | Creative Director | Presentation Lead

  • UrbanFest 360 had no formal sponsorship materials or messaging framework. Without a clear story, outreach relied on conversations rather than structure, limiting credibility with sponsors and slowing funding momentum.

The challenge was to translate a powerful but complex mission into a compelling, sponsor-ready narrative. One that clearly communicated audience value, experiential opportunities, and partnership potential.

  • Sponsors don’t invest in events they invest in alignment, audience, and experience.

UrbanFest’s real value wasn’t its programming alone, but its role as a cultural platform connecting storytelling, community, and impact across multiple touchpoints. The opportunity was to shift the narrative from “festival sponsorship” to brand participation in a cultural movement.

The Strategy

I repositioned UrbanFest 360 as an immersive, multi-channel experience rather than a single event.

The strategy focused on:

  • Clarifying UrbanFest’s purpose, audience, and cultural relevance

  • Structuring a sponsorship story around experience, access, and alignment

  • Designing a narrative flow that sells value

  • Creating a flexible, repeatable deck that could support ongoing outreach

The goal was to equip the organization with a professional, scalable tool that could confidently open doors with sponsors and partners.

I built the sponsorship deck from the ground up, including:

  • Refined positioning and messaging framework

  • A clear story arc that moves from mission → audience → experience → partnership value

  • Sponsor-focused language and tiering logic

  • Visual storytelling and presentation design aligned to the festival’s energy and purpose

The deck was designed to be both strategic and practical easy to present, easy to adapt, and credible in high-stakes funding conversations.

The Execution

  • The sponsorship deck became UrbanFest 360’s primary outreach tool and is actively used in partner conversations.

    Results include:

    • Increased credibility and confidence in sponsorship meetings

    • Clear articulation of UrbanFest’s value beyond programming

    • Active sponsor conversations and funding discussions underway

    • A repeatable framework supporting future partnerships and growth

  • Creative strategy enabled UrbanFest 360 to move from informal outreach to a structured, sponsor-ready narrative positioning the festival as a cultural platform worth investing in, not just an event seeking support.
